Esau holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree in Risk Management and Insurance from the National University of Science and Technology, along with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Zimbabwe. He also earned a BBA in Marketing degree from the Institute of Marketing Management and has completed several professional development programs. He began his career with FBC Bank in 2004 as a Bancassurance Manager, gaining over 24 years of experience across marketing, public relations, and retail banking. In March 2011, he transitioned to MicroPlan as Business Development Manager and was later promoted to Head Business Development in 2017. In October 2025, Esau was appointed Managing Director of MicroPlan, bringing his extensive expertise in banking, risk management, and business development to lead the institution’s growth and strategic direction
